Autumn 2

For English this term, we will be using FaRther to create a setting narrative and to write a letter during World War 1.

The children created fantastic ideas when planning for their setting narrative. Their use of language was outstanding.

Year 5 created wonderful setting narratives.

Year 5 have found investigating forces extremely interesting. We like working scientifically.

The children enjoyed taking part in the elf walk and they raised lots of money for a great cause.

Year 5 had a special visitor all the way from Lapland.

Year 5 created our own version of Flanders field.

Year 5 created wonderful models of World War 1 trenches.

Year 5 have our own resident historian. Dan Snow is well aware that his days are numbered. He even admitted this.

Year 5 had a visit from Merseyside Police. They learnt about the importance of staying safe online.

Year 5 are participating in the Children's University project. If they collect enough credits they will attend their graduation in the summer.
