We have been retelling the story of The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson. We have incorporated actions to perform to help us remember the story.
Today we self and peer edited our work to make some improvements.
We had a lot of fun dressing up as characters from our favourite books.
Our reading cafe was a fantastic success! Teachers, children, parents and little brothers, we all enjoyed taking time out to enjoy reading together. The cake and juice was a success too 🍰 Yum yum!
It was tricky but fun sorting and identifying different homophones.
We became The Jolly Postman to think about his thoughts and emotions.
To help us retell the story we created a class story map in groups to help us.
We had lots of fun story mapping the ginger bread man and then performing it!!
We really enjoyed our trip to Liverpool Central Library to have a workshop with author and illustrator Sarah McIntyre. We heard her read one of her books and then she taught us how to draw sharks. It was lots of fun and we are very happy with our master pieces.
We enjoyed working together to sort and classify the different animals in our book.
We really enjoy taking a little time out to read a book.
