Autumn 2
Setting descriptions and Newspaper Reports

Children will use ‘The Whale’ by Vita Murrow as inspiration for a range of setting descriptions and newspaper reports.

We will continue to improve our grammatical knowledge this term and we will be recapping on up leveling sentences through using adjectives, adverbs, adverbial phrases and punctuation.

Autumn 1

We have focused on the book Rain before Rainbows to inspire our learning.

From writing non-chronological reports to learning all about similes and metaphors year 4 have been practising a range of skills to help them write fantastic independent pieces next half term.
