Fractions, decimals and percentages! 

 

In maths this half term we will begin re – capping equivalent fractions both in pictorial and numerical form. We will then be using our knowledge of equivalent fractions to order and compare fractions based on their denominators.

Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000

After working really hard on their multiplication skills, Year 6 are now learning how to divide a 4 digit number by a 2 digit number. This is a skill the children have been looking forward to learning!

Numbers to 10 million! 

 

Well done to Year 6 who have worked very hard this last week to order and compare numbers up to 10 million. You have applied your knowledge from Year 5 and can now compare these numbers using your place value grids and knowledge of each digit. 

 

Next, we are going to be rounding numbers to 10 million!
