Let our Light Shine!
All children in Years 1-6 will return to school on Wednesday 2nd September 2020. Please see the Return to School Letter on the Coronavirus page or on the Letters page for detailed information. We look forward to seeing everyone!

Spring One

This half term we will be learning all about multiplication and division. We will be timings and dividing 10, 100s and digits from 1 - 12.

We will be recalling facts up to 12 x 12 and using place value to help up solve multiplication and division problems.

Autumn Two

During this half term we will be developing our addition and subtraction calculation skills. We will be learning how to add and subtract 4-digit numbers fluently, then applying these skills in different contexts such as measure and money.

We will continue to work towards our Maths passports, practising our mental maths skills of recalling multiplication and division facts for the 6 times tables, doubling and halving any number up to 20 and multiplying by 10 and 100.

Autumn One

Our focus for this half term is understanding place value. We will be looking at the value of digits and how we can use that to order sets of numbers from smallest to greatest. We will also look at how we round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. Another objective will be to count backwards through zero to include negative numbers. We will also be looking at addition and subtraction of 4-digit numbers, including problem solving.
