Mission Statement
At St Clare’s, we will let our light shine by learning together and serving others.
- As an inclusive school we will work together with our families, the parish and wider community to promote equality, love and respect for all.
- To encourage a lifelong love of learning that develops each individual’s full potential.
- To nurture each child’s understanding of the Gospel values through learning, prayer and celebration whilst showing acceptance and sensitivity to those of other faiths and religions.
'Let Our Light Shine!'
In September 2018 staff came together on the INSET day to review and revise our mission statement.
It was the perfect way to begin our new school year as it allowed us the opportunity to reflect and consider not only who St Clare was but how her beliefs and values would shape our day to day work in school.
All of the school staff contributed to our new mission statement which we took as an opportunity to build upon our core belief; 'Let our light shine!'.
Over the Autumn term we continued to reflect on our values of trust, curiosity, faith, forgiveness, friendship, aspiration, determination and respect which we hold dear to our heart.
In January we invited the wider community to come into school to enjoy a collective worship in the morning about St Clare and then in the afternoon they returned to hear all about what the children have learnt that day and how they would let their light shine by using the gifts and talents that God has given them.
The children had a lovely party and got to wear their own clothes! A wonderful day was had by all.
