A new year carol!

The children are currently learning a range of New Year carols. They are working on their vocal techniques too. Once they have perfected these carols; they will be writing and composing their own carols to perform to their peers.

What music makes you happy? This half term we are studying a range of pieces of music that have a happy theme. The children will then be performing Pharrell William's 'Happy' using their voices and the xylophones.

This half term, the children will be studying jazz music. They will be studying two pieces of music in particular; ‘Bacharach Anorak’ and ‘Meet the Blues’. The children will be expected to appraise the pieces of music as well as learning about the context of jazz music. They will then be creating their own piece using a range of musical instruments.
