Gift

During this topic we will learn that God’s gift of Jesus is a gift of love to all people of all time. Jesus reveals God’s love for humanity and the possibility of friendship. This gift is celebrated each Christmas. During the season of Advent we explore this gift of love and the promise of Jesus’ return at the end of time. God in Scripture

Skills - We will learn to apply the skills of love and friendship during the season of Advent.

Other Faith - Judaism

We will explore the sacred book of the Jewish people, The Torah. We will look at how Moses led the Jewish people out of Isreal and the rites of Barmitzvah and Batmitzvah.

People

We have learnt about some important figures in Jesus's family tree and used our time to reflect on how they shaped our faith. We have also thought about our own family trees and how the people around us have shaped us.

Called 

We have learnt about biblical figures who were called by God and thought about how we can use the stories of their lives to influence ours. We have discussed what it means to live in the light and reflected on times we have been called or chosen to do something.

As a class we linked this to how those taking their Holy Communion might feel and why people chose to make this promise to God.
