This week we have explored what fire and wind feel and sound like. We ended with a collective worship and created a class flame.
Our new focus this tern is Energy. As we return to school after Easter we will explore the meaning of fire and wind. The power of the Holy Spirit is very special. We will talk about the Resurrection and the the Ascension of Jesus.
Our current Come and See topic is Lent Giving to others. Lent is time to give to others. In year three we have explored how Jesus gave his life for us with total giving. We have explored and responded to giving to others making links to our own lives at home and in School. We have explored and responded to the Easter Story. How Jesus gave his own life for us.
Our Come and See Topic is Listening and Sharing. We have explored the meaning of sharing with others and how we can respond to this in our everyday lives. We have talked about how people gather together to celebrate the Eucharist. We have been reflecting on the symbols of the Eucharist and described that the cup of wine is called the chalice. The dish which contains the host is called a Paten.
We remembered, celebrated and responded to listening and sharing with each other, listening to the word of God and sharing in Holy Communion.
We rejoiced by making promise cards to share with others just as Jesus did.
This half term we are describing and recognising the Family Home.
We are exploring...
In this topic we explore how God is present in every home. This is expressed in the love that binds the family together within the home through good times and bad times.

This half term our Come and See Topic is Journeys. During this topic we will discuss
how events mark the journey of the seasons of the year. We will think about the meaning and symbols of the Liturgical Calendar. We will explore the meaning of a Journey through our lives as we follow and live like Jesus.
