In this module we will identify electrical appliances, distinguishing between those which are powered by mains and battery (including those with integral rechargeable batteries) and recognising that electricity can be used to produce light, sound, heat and movement. We will investigate how to make circuits and what materials make good electrical conductors and insulators.

Application of English across the curriculum:

Recount of investigations, explanation of how electricity flows through a circuit. Biography of Thomas Edison.

Teeth and Digestion

We will develop our vocabulary for describing teeth and digestion and identify different parts of the digestive system. We will learn hour our diet impacts upon our teeth, digestion and health. We will also be exploring how the digestive system works.

Teeth, molars, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, rectum, colon, protein, vegetables, carbohydrates, sugars, carnivores and herbivores.
