Electricity

In this module we will identify electrical appliances, distinguishing between those which are powered by mains and battery (including those with integral rechargeable batteries) and recognising that electricity can be used to produce light, sound, heat and movement. We will investigate how to make circuits and what materials make good electrical conductors and insulators.

Application of English across the curriculum:

Recount of investigations, explanation of how electricity flows through a circuit. Biography of Thomas Edison.

 

Teeth and Digestion

We have been learning all about the organs in our digestive system. This has included our teeth and how to keep them healthy and clean!

We have used this knowledge to plan a scientific investigation in to how to keep our teeth healthy and used the opportunity to improve our observational skills.
