Spring 1

This term our English lessons will be centred around The Lost Book of Adventure.

The children will write a survival narrative and an explanation/instructional Guide.

As part of our English lesson we explored our school's forest area to understand the difficulties faced when trying to survive in the wilderness with limited supplies.

The children worked extremely hard to create their own survival guides.

Year 5 have really took to the idea of teamwork during their OAA PE lessons.

Year 5 have greatly improved their communication and teamwork skills.

Year 5 learnt about levers and pulleys during their science lesson.

We carried out an investigation into irreversible change and how we can use this in our everyday lives.

During DT we created a local dish and the children were able to taste their creation.

The children created fabulous Adinkra prints which originate from Ghana.

Children's University masterclass live from Martin Mere.

Year 5 created wonderful non-chronological reports about the layers of the rainforest.
