Spring 2

English

This term's book is 'The lost Happy Endings', it tells the story of Jub, who delivers stories to children , however one day she meets a witch and the endings of the stories are lost. Children will write a new ending for a traditional tale, based on what they have read.

We joined Year 3 and a number of other schools in Sefton Park Palm House, to watch a one woman show about the life of Kitty Wilkinson, the first person in England to run a public wash house to enable people to wash their linen during the cholera outbreak of 1832. Afterwards, we got a chance to ask the playwrite some questions and learn a mill song.
